When Everything Changes -Change Everything by Neale Donald WalschThis book really did change the way I thought about change. Neale Donald Walsch has written a wonderful summary on how change works and how to turn "change" into a positive evolution in life rather than a "crisis". This books talks about the layers of change from the mental constructs to the spiritual implications and everything inbetween. No one said change was easy, but it doesn't have to be painful either and Neale's book will help you on the path to sorting it all out. |
Radical Forgiveness by Colin Tipping
This is not your average book on Forgiveness. Word of warning here: if you are attached to feeling like a victim or like blaming others for your circumstances regardless of how grievous the circumstances, this book will be very challenging for you to read. I however think that the author is right on. You cannot move on and out of negativity as long as you have not taken total responsibility for yourself and realize that you have a part in the creation of all circumstances in your life, even the really painful ones. |
Conversations with God Book 1 by Neale Donald WalschThis was the first book of Neale's that I read and he had me running the full spectrum of emotion: tears, laughter, anger, excitement. This book encapsulated so many of the thoughts I had had running around my head but at the time had no words for. It is a great primer for many topics ranging from Who is God to Sex to Who am I and what am I doing here? I am very grateful to Neale for his courage and commitment to putting this book out into the world. |
Tear Soup by Pat Schwiebert and Chuck DeKlyenA sweet and wonderfully illustrated book for both adults and children alike that takes on the topic of grieving in a very endearing and somehow serious way. The bottom line is that everyone grieves in their own way and it is all ok. It is also a great educational tool for people on how to deal with someone who is grieving. Since most people are very uncomfortable with their own grief yet alone someone elses, this is a very timely book written in a very comforting way. |
Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard BachI picked up this book one day and loved it so much that I ended up reading it in one sitting. It is the story of a Seagull who is not enamored with typical seagull behaviors and wishes to perfect his flight. He becomes ostracized by the other seagulls because he is challenging them and is "weird" (sound familiar). But he keeps on following his dreams and once realized comes back to show the other seagulls that they too can step out of their mundane existences and achieve their dreams. A delight to read full of inspiration, freedom and passion. |
